Common use of Information Safeguards Clause in Contracts

Information Safeguards. Associate will maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to prevent use or disclosure of PHI not permitted by this Addendum. Associate will also maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of electronic PHI in compliance with the Privacy and Security Rule.

Associate will also comply with the provisions of 45 CFR Part 164, Subpart C of the Privacy and Security Rule with respect to electronic PHI to prevent any use or disclosure of such information other than as provided by this Addendum, including the obligation to maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of electronic PHI in compliance with the Privacy and Security RulePHI.
