Common use of Initial and Renewal Term Clause in Contracts

Initial and Renewal Term. This Agreement shall be effective as of the Effective Date, and shall remain in effect for an initial term of five years. At the end of the initial term and any renewal term, this Agreement shall automatically renew for an additional one (1) year renewal term unless one of the parties provides the other party written notice of intent not to renew not less than one hundred eighty (180) days before expiration of the then current term. As used in this Agreement, the word “Term” includes the initial term and, where applicable, any renewal term. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Agreement may be terminated in accordance with Section 7.2.
