Common use of Initial Study/Notice of Preparation Clause in Contracts

Initial Study/Notice of Preparation. At the discretion of OC Engineering Project Management Staff, A-E shall review/or prepare the Initial Study and Notice of Preparation (NOP) to ensure that the nature and extent of environmental issues are properly identified. A-E shall also review/prepare a list of agencies to receive the NOP and make recommendations to expand or reduce the list based upon professional experience and knowledge of the project.
