Common use of Initial Term and Extension Clause in Contracts

Initial Term and Extension. The Parties’ respective performances under this Agreement shall commence on the Agreement Effective Date shown on the Signature and Cover Page for this Agreement and shall terminate on as shown on the Signature and Cover Page for this Agreement, unless sooner terminated or further extended in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. Upon request of Local Agency, the State may, in its sole discretion, extend the term of this ARPA Award by Option Letter pursuant §7.E.iv. If the Work will be performed in multiple phases, the period of performance start and end date of each phase is detailed under the Project Schedule in Exhibit C.
