Initiating a Grievance Review. If a grievance is decided in a manner adverse to the beneficiary, the beneficiary may request a review by DVHA within 10 calendar days of the decision. The review will be conducted by an individual who was not involved in deciding the grievance under review and is not a subordinate of the individual who decided the original grievance. [For clarification, a grievance is defined as an expression of dissatisfaction. If the grievance decision constitutes an action adverse to the beneficiary, the grievance review process shall not delay or inhibit an enrollee’s ability to request a fair hearing.]
