Common use of Inspection of Cost Records Clause in Contracts

Inspection of Cost Records. The Consultant shall maintain all books, documents, papers, accounting records and other evidence pertaining to costs incurred on the project. They shall make such data available for inspection, and audit, by duly authorized personnel, at reasonable times during the life of this Agreement, and for a period of three (3) years subsequent to date of final payment under this Agreement, unless an audit has been announced or is underway; in that instance, records must be maintained until the audit is completed and any findings have been resolved. Failure to provide access to records may affect payment and may constitute a breach of contract.
