Instruction and Faculty. a. Ensure adequate orientation is provided to all new faculty within the division, including discipline specific orientation as necessary to teach discipline classes, and participate in orientation as appropriate. b. May participate as requested by the faculty member in peer observation. c. With the mutual agreement of the faculty member (unless otherwise described in the negotiated Agreement) and the Vice President for Instruction or supervisor, support faculty professional development in matters related to class observations, student feedback, professional report, or other activities necessary to support faculty and instruction. d. Facilitate the processing of faculty and staff paid leave requests with Vice President for Instruction, supervisor, and Human Resources. e. Support faculty and department chairs with securing substitutes as necessary. f. Work collaboratively with divisional faculty and staff to manage inventory and equipment. g. Work with the bookstore to facilitate successful textbook orders and purchases.
