Common use of INSURANCE 4 Clause in Contracts

INSURANCE 4. 3.1 Unless otherwise specified in contract documents, the contractor shall procure or cause to be procured and maintain (as provided herein), at no cost to the City, during the life of this contract and any extensions thereof, all insurance to cover the operations under this contract, that may be required under the laws, ordinances or regulations of any governmental authority, including but not limited to the coverages below. The contractor shall either include all tiers of subcontractors, if any, under the policies required under paragraphs 2 through 4, to the extent permitted by law, or shall require all subcontractors to maintain coverages described in paragraphs 1 through 4. 1. Workers Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance. Contractor shall maintain workers compensation and employers liability insurance. Workers compensation coverage shall be in accordance with State statutes. Employers liability coverage shall provide limits of not less than $100,000 each accident for bodily injury by accident or $100,000 each employee, $100,000 aggregate, for bodily injury by disease.
