Interconnection Facility Options. 6.1.1 This Section describes the Interconnection of Qwest's network and WSP's network for the purpose of exchanging IntraMTA, InterMTA, and Wireless Switched Access Traffic. Intercarrier traffic exchange will be mutual and reciprocal and all traffic exchanged between the Parties must be provisioned pursuant to this Agreement. Qwest will provide Interconnection at any technically feasible point within Qwest‟s network, including but not limited to, (i) the trunk side of a local Switch and (ii) the trunk connection points for a Tandem Office Switch.,. “Interconnection” is as described in the Act and refers, in this Section of the Agreement, to the connection between networks for the purpose of transmission and routing of IntraMTA traffic. Qwest‟s Wireless Interconnection Service is provided for the purpose of connecting End Office Switches to End Office Switches or End Office Switches to Local or Access Tandem Switches for the exchange of IntraMTA Traffic; or End Office switches to Access Tandem Switches for the exchange of InterMTA or Wireless Switched Access Traffic. New or continued Qwest Local Tandem to Qwest Access Tandem and Qwest Access Tandem to Qwest Access Tandem Switch connections are not required where Qwest can demonstrate that such connections present a risk of Switch exhaust and that Qwest does not make similar use of its network to transport the local calls of its own or any Affiliate‟s End User Customers.
