INTERN PLACEMENT. 26.1 In the interest of providing optimum professional training, teachers supervising interns shall be certified in their assignments and shall be on continuing contract/professional services contract or have three (3) years successful teaching experience. Florida Statutes require teachers supervising interns to show "evidence of clinical educator training" and demonstration of "effective classroom management strategies that consistently result in improved student performance." Only teachers who volunteer to accept intern supervision assignments will be selected to serve as supervising/directing/cooperating teachers. A survey will be conducted in October and February each year to identify eligible, qualified volunteers.
