Uniform Commercial Code or “UCC” means the Uniform Commercial Code as the same may from time to time be in effect in the State of New York or the Uniform Commercial Code (or similar code or statute) of another jurisdiction, to the extent it may be required to apply to any item or items of Collateral.
application for international protection means a request made by a third country national or a stateless person for protection from a Member State, who can be understood to seek refugee status or subsidiary protection status, and who does not explicitly request another kind of protection, outside the scope of this Directive, that can be applied for separately;
Municipal Code of Chicago or "MCC" means the Municipal Code of the City of Chicago.
Commercial Code means the French Commercial Code.
Corporations Regulations means the Corporations Regulations 2001 (Cth).
National Road Traffic Act means the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996);
Municipal Code means the Municipal Code of Chicago.
Data Protection Act means Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.
Society Act means the Society Act of the Province of British Columbia from time to time in force and all amendments to it;
Uniform Commercial Code jurisdiction means any jurisdiction that has adopted all or substantially all of Article 9 as contained in the 2000 Official Text of the Uniform Commercial Code, as recommended by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the American Law Institute, together with any subsequent amendments or modifications to the Official Text.
Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).
Commercial sex act means any sex act on account of which anything of value is given to or received by any person.
Insurance Commissioner means the Insurance Commissioner
Criminal Code means the Criminal Code (Canada);
Data Protection Laws means all laws and regulations that govern the access, use, disclosure, or protection of Personal Data to which a party is subject with respect to the Service or the Software.
IMDG Code means the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, for the implementation of Chapter VII, Part A, of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 (SOLAS Convention), published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), London;
Rail Safety Act means the Rail Safety Act 1998 (WA);
National Commissioner means the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, appointed by the President under section 207(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996;
Data Protection Acts means Data Protection Act 1988, as amended by the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003, and as may be modified, amended, supplemented, consolidated or re- enacted from time to time;
European Data Protection Laws means data protection laws applicable in Europe, including: (i) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector; and (iii) applicable national implementations of (i) and (ii); or (iii) GDPR as it forms parts of the United Kingdom domestic law by virtue of Section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 ("UK GDPR"); and (iv) Swiss Federal Data Protection Act on 19 June 1992 and its Ordinance ("Swiss DPA"); in each case, as may be amended, superseded or replaced.
UK Data Protection Laws means the Data Protection Xxx 0000 (incorporating the UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, and the laws implementing or supplementing them;
European Data Protection Law means, as applicable: (a) the GDPR; and/or (b) the Federal Data Protection Act of 19 June 0000 (Xxxxxxxxxxx).
international carriage means any carriage in which, according to the contract of carriage, the place of departure and the place of destination are situated in two different States, or in a single State if, according to the contract of carriage or the scheduled itinerary, there is an intermediate port of call in another State;
IBC Code means Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 as amended from time to time;
Hague Convention means the Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extra-Judicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters signed at The Hague on November 15, 1965;
MCIP Act means Title 4, Chapter 1, of the Code, and all future acts successor or supplemental thereto or amendatory thereof.
