INTERRUPTION TO SUPPLY. 10.1 Distributor may interrupt supply We may interrupt the supply of energy to your premises where permitted under the energy laws, including for a distributor planned interruption or where there is an unplanned interruption or in accordance with the conditions of any applicable tariff or under a contract with your retailer. 10.2 Distributor planned interruptions (maintenance, repair, etc) (a) We may make distributor planned interruptions to the supply of energy to the premises under the (i) for the maintenance, repair or augmentation of the transmission system or the distribution system, including maintenance of metering equipment; or (ii) for the installation of a new connection or a connection alteration to another customer. (b) If your energy supply will be affected by a distributor planned interruption and clause 6.4(d)(iii) does not apply: (i) we may seek your explicit consent to the interruption occurring on a specified date; or (ii) we may seek your explicit consent to the interruption occurring on any day within a specified 5 (iii) otherwise, we will give you at least 4 business days notice of the interruption by mail, letterbox drop, press advertisement or other appropriate means. 10.3 Unplanned interruptions (a) We may interrupt the supply of energy to your premises in circumstances where we consider that a customer’s energy installation or the distribution system poses an immediate threat of injury or material damage to any person, property or the distribution system, including: (i) for unplanned maintenance or repairs; (ii) for health or safety reasons; (iii) in an emergency; (iv) as required by a relevant authority; (v) to shed demand for energy because the total demand at the relevant time exceeds the total supply available; or (vi) to restore supply to a customer. (b) If an unplanned interruption is made, we will use our best endeavours to restore energy supply to the premises as soon as possible. (c) We will make information about unplanned interruptions (including the nature of any emergency and, where reasonably possible, an estimate of when energy supply will be restored) available on a 24 hour telephone information service. 10.4 Your right to information about interruptions (a) If you request us to do so, we will use our best endeavours to explain: (i) an interruption to the supply of energy to the premises; or (ii) a supply of energy to the premises of a quality in breach of any relevant standards under the energy laws. (b) If you request an explanation be in writing we must, within 10 business days of receiving the request, give you either: (i) the written explanation; or (ii) an estimate of the time it will take to provide a more detailed explanation if a longer period is reasonably needed. INTERRUPTION TO SUPPLY.
10.1 6.1 The Distributor may interrupt supply We may interrupt or reduce the supply conveyance of energy electricity to your premises where permitted under any Customer's Point of Supply at any time the energy laws, including for a distributor planned interruption or where there is an unplanned interruption or Distributor reasonably considers it appropriate in accordance with the conditions of any applicable tariff or under a contract with your retailer.
10.2 Distributor planned interruptions (maintenance, repair, etc)Good Industry Practice:
(a) We may make distributor planned interruptions to enable the supply of energy Distributor to the premises under the
(i) for the inspect, effect alterations, maintenance, repair repairs or augmentation additions to any part of the transmission system or the distribution system, including maintenance of metering equipmentDistribution Network; or
(iib) for to avoid the installation risk of a new connection danger to persons, damage to property or a connection alteration other interference with the conveyance of electricity through the Distribution Network; or
(c) in case of emergency, to another customerpreserve and protect the proper working of the Distribution Network; or
(d) to effect the Load Management Service as specified in Schedule 4; or
(e) by the automatic low frequency-initiated tripping of specified 11kV feeders in the event that the integrity of the Transpower Network is endangered; or
(f) in response to an event of Force Majeure.
6.2 Where the Distributor interrupts the conveyance of electricity to any Customer pursuant to Clause (6.1) (a), (b), (c), (e) or (f) the Distributor shall:
(a) where practicable, give the Retailer reasonable notic e of any planned interruption to the conveyance of electricity and where appropriate consult with the Retailer over the timing of the interruption to minimise inconvenience to the Customers;
(b) If your energy supply will be affected by a distributor planned if the interruption is unplanned and clause 6.4(d)(iii) does not apply:
(i) we may seek your explicit consent no prior notice is given, as soon as is practicable give to the interruption occurring on a specified date; or
(ii) we may seek your explicit consent to the interruption occurring on any day within a specified 5
(iii) otherwise, we will give you at least 4 business days Retailer written notice of the area affected by and reasons for the interruption and its expected duration. Notice may initially be given by mailtelephone to the appropriate number but will, letterbox drop, press advertisement within 24 hours also be provided in written or other appropriate meanselectronic form;
(c) use reasonable endeavours to minimise the period of interruption; and
(d) act in accordance with Good Industry Practice.
10.3 Unplanned interruptions6.3 Where the Retailer notifies the Distributor that the Retailer’s load is able to be managed, the Distributor shall operate the Load Management Services on the basis, which appears as Schedule 4 in this Agreement for the following purposes: Non-Incumbent Use of System Agreement. (a) We may interrupt the supply of energy to your premises in circumstances where we consider that a customer’s energy installation or the alleviate distribution system poses an immediate threat of injury or material damage to any person, property or the distribution system, including:
(i) for unplanned maintenance or repairs;
(ii) for health or safety reasons;
(iii) in an emergency;
(iv) as required by a relevant authority;
(v) to shed constraints and manage demand for energy because the total demand electricity at the relevant time exceeds the total supply available; or
(vi) to restore supply to a customer.Grid Connection Points;
(b) If an unplanned interruption is made, we will use our best endeavours to restore energy supply reduce the Distribution Network load in the event of emergencies occurring on the Distribution Network or on the Transpower Network or in the event of inadequate generation capacity being available to the premises as soon as possible.meet demand; and

6.4 The Retailer shall advise the Distributor of any emergency and, where reasonably possible, an estimate of when energy supply will be restored) available on a 24 hour telephone information service.
10.4 Your right to information about interruptions
(a) If you request us to do so, we will use our best endeavours to explain:
(i) an defect or interruption to the electricity supply of energy or other Distribution Network abnormality reported to the premises; or
(ii) Retailer by a supply of energy to the premises of a quality Customer as detailed in breach of any relevant standards under the energy lawsSchedule 6.
6.5 The Distributor shall consult (bwith all best endeavours) If you request with the Retailer if it wishes to alter the feeders or Customers affected by an explanation be in writing we mustinterruption under Clause 6.1(e), within 10 business days after the date of receiving execution of this agreement.
6.6 It is acknowledged by the request, give you either:
(i) the written explanation; or
(ii) an estimate Retailer that unplanned interruptions to supply are a natural consequence of the time it will take operation of the Distribution Network. However, the Distributor agrees to provide a more detailed explanation if a longer period is reasonably neededoperate, maintain and develop the Distribution Network in accordance with Good Industry Practice to minimise the level of such unplanned interruptions, and use all reasonable efforts to, meet the Performance Targets.
