Common use of Investigation of Criminal Allegations Clause in Contracts

Investigation of Criminal Allegations. Any report that contains allegations of criminal violations on the part of the Contractor or any Subcontractors and that is referred to a governmental or investigatory agency must be sent to the Department. If the Contractor has reason to believe that the allegations will be referred to the State Attorney, a law enforcement agency, the United States Attorney’s office, or other governmental agency, the Contractor shall notify the Inspector General at the Department immediately. A copy of all documents, reports, notes, or other written material concerning the investigation, whether in the possession of the Contractor or Subcontractors, must be sent to the Department’s Inspector General with a summary of the investigation and allegations.
