Common use of IRS Taxable Income Clause in Contracts

IRS Taxable Income. The Tuition Remission benefit may be considered taxable income in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations. NJIT will determine whether or not the benefits received from the Tuition Remission Plan are subject to withholding as compensation, based on the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. The sections of the tax code that govern whether or not NJIT must withhold tax on a reimbursement are subject to change.
