Item 52. MATTRESS Specifications are as follows: Per Rule Chapter 69A-54, Florida Administrative Code, Uniform Fire Safety Standards for Correctional Facilities, 69A-54.006, (2) New purchases of mattresses for new or existing correctional facilities shall meet requirements as provided in NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, as adopted in rule 69A-3.012, F.A.C. Additional specifications are: Cover - heavy duty Staph-Check ticking, approximately 12.2 oz. per yard. Core - 100% polyester densified batting, resistant to moisture and mildew, hypo- allergenic and odor free. Construction - envelope style cover, all seams face inside except for end-closing seam, lock stitch sewn all around with heavy gauge nylon thread. Tear resistant, bacteria resistant, waterproof, wipe clean capability, approximately 30" x 75" x 4". Mattress bid shall meet or exceed all criteria required in the above paragraph and the following tests: ASTM E906 (RHR), California Technical Bulletin 121, ASTM E162 Radiant Panel, ASTM E662 Smoke Density. Item 53 - PILLOW: Specifications are as follows: Staph-Chek vinyl covered, polyester core pillows. Closure edge shall be folded over twice and double stitched. Flame resistant core of 100%, polyester. Flame resistant breathable vinyl cover, capable of wiping clean with soap and water, approximately 18" x 25", minimum 1.7 pounds, tear resistant, anti-bacterial, non- allergenic, self-deodorizing.
