Justified cases of extended leave. The Student who has to interrupt their studies for a certain period of time, due to justifiable reasons of health, pregnancy or family matters, must notify the Academic and Administrative Coordinators and seek formal agreement prior to the beginning of the leave period. All such situations will be evaluated on an individual basis by the Academic and Management Board.

  • Extended Leave Extended leaves of absence of at least three (3) but not more than five (5) years may be granted in accordance with Minnesota law. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, retention and accrual of all rights and benefits for ASF Members on extended leave shall be governed by Minnesota Statute Section 136F.43.

If the faculty member’s service to the university in the year the faculty member left the unit qualified for an increase in the succeeding year, then the faculty member shall be entitled to that increase upon return to the unit. Seniority shall not accrue during the years faculty members are on extended leave.

  • EXTENDED LEAVES OF ABSENCE 1. Military leave without pay shall be granted to any employee who is inducted in any branch of the armed forces of the United States for the period of said service.

  • Amendment of Contract Period The parties may modify the contract termination date by written supplemental agreement prior to the date of termination as set forth in Article 6, Supplemental Agreements, of attachment A, General Provisions, provided, however, that the termination date may, in no event, be extended past the fifth anniversary of execution.
