LAKES DISTRICT. The general policy is that your normal salary continues when you are absent due to genuine illness or the illness or injury of your partner, a dependent or another member of your family or household. Where the frequency or pattern of absence is regarded as problematic or excessive or where your absence is prolonged or where you do not participate in an employer rehabilitation programme, your employer may refer the matter to the Review Panel. It is acknowledged that sick leave is a joint responsibility of staff, the employer and the Union. The Review Panel is outlined in point 2.
