Common use of LATE BIDS Clause in Contracts

LATE BIDS. 23.1 Any bids received after the notified date and time of closing of tenders will be treated as late bids. 23.2 In case of e-tendering, e-tendering system of GGPL shall close immediately after the due date for submission of bid and no bids can be submitted thereafter. In case of manual tendering, bids received by GGPL after the due date for submission of bids shall not be considered. Such late bids shall be returned to the bidder within “10 days” in „unopened conditions‟. The EMD of such bidders shall be returned along with the un-opened bid. In case of e-tendering, where the bid bond/physical documents has been received but the bid is not submitted by the bidder in the e-tendering portal, such bid bond/ physical documents shall be returned immediately. 23.3 Unsolicited Bids or Bids received to address other than one specifically stipulated in the tender document will not be considered for evaluation/opening/award if not received to the specified destination within stipulated date & time.
