Common use of Late Payment Assessment Clause in Contracts

Late Payment Assessment. If we do not receive full payment of the Charges shown on your monthly Statement of Account by the date on which your next monthly Statement of Account (the “Second Statement”) is made up, the unpaid balance of such Charges will be designated in the Second Statement as “Previous Balance”. If we have not received full payment of the “Previous Balance” shown on the Second Statement within approximately thirty (30) days after such amount was first billed, the unpaid amount will be treated as delinquent. The late payment assessment will be charged at the rate of one point three three percent (1.33%) (subjected to VAT) per month, on any delinquent amount until we received full payment of it. Details of late payment assessments will be included in your monthly Statement of Account, and unpaid assessments will also be treated as delinquent amounts. We may take such action as we consider necessary for the recovery of unpaid Charges, and otherwise to protect our interests in respect of the issue and use of any Card and provision of Card facilities. You agree that you or the Company will indemnify us fully against all costs and expenses (including legal fees) which we incur in respect of such action.
