LAYOFF NOTICE - SEPARATION ALLOWANCE. 54 a) Whenever it is necessary to lay off an employee or employees because of lack of work due to curtailment of production, process changes, changing requirements of craft work, or any other reason beyond control of the COMPANY, such employee or employees shall be given ten (10) working days’ notice of such layoff. The COMPANY shall have the option of paying for their time in lieu of notice.
