Layoffs and Severance Pay. Layoffs shall occur only at 12:00 noon and at 4:30 p.m. Upon being laid off, each employee shall receive severance pay of one (1) hour at the regular hourly rate.

This clause does not include a temporary layoff of five (5) days or less. If not rehired within five (5) days, the employer must pay the two (2) hours' severance pay plus vacation pay.
