LAYOUT RESPONSIBILITY AND LEVELS. The Contractor shall establish principal axis lines of the building and site, and benchmarks. The Subcontractor shall lay out and be strictly responsible for the accuracy of the Subcontract Work and for any loss or damage to the Contractor or others by reason of the Subcontractor's failure to lay out or perform Subcontract Work correctly. The Subcontractor shall exercise prudence so that the actual final conditions and details shall result in alignment of finish surfaces.
