LAYOUT RESPONSIBILITY AND LEVELS. When the Subcontract Work requires, the Contractor will establish principal axis lines of the building and site and/or benchmarks. The Subcontractor shall layout and be strictly responsible for the accuracy of the Subcontract Work and for any loss or damage to the Contractor or others by reason of the Subcontractor's failure to lay out or perform Subcontract Work correctly. The Subcontractor shall exercise prudence so that the actual final conditions and details shall result in alignment of finish surfaces.
