Common use of Leave and Return Clause in Contracts

Leave and Return. Bargaining unit members who are inducted into the Armed Forces of the United States, or who join the Armed Forces, in lieu of being inducted under provisions of the Selective Service Act, shall be entitled to leave without pay for the period of service required. Upon an honorable discharge, the bargaining unit member shall be reinstated with full credit on the salary schedule for time in service.
