Leave Supplement. The employee shall not be entitled to avail himself/herself of any sick leave or vacation benefits while he/she is receiving temporary disability indemnity under the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Insurance and Safety Act, except that in the discretion of the City Manager he/she may be permitted to take as much of his/her accumulated sick leave or his/her accumulated vacation as, when added to his/her temporary disability indemnity, will result in the payment to him/her of not more than 100 percent of his/her normal gross salary.
