Legal and Regulatory Expense. Except as otherwise provided in Subsection 2.13, all legal and regulatory costs and expenses incurred in or resulting from the Operations or necessary to protect or recover the Assets or the Property of the Joint Venture. All attorney's fees and other legal costs to handle, investigate and settle litigation or claims, including the cost of legal services provided by the Operator's legal staff; and amounts paid in settlement of such litigation or claims in excess of $50,000 shall not be charged to the Joint Account unless approved by the Management Committee.
