Common use of Legislation by Canada Clause in Contracts

Legislation by Canada. In recognition of the intent of the Parties that Sections 35 and 36 of the Indian Act (Canada) shall have no application to the Selected Lands, Canada shall recommend the enactment of legislation to ensure the said Sections 35 and 36 do not apply to the Selected Lands, and when enacted shall proclaim such legislation in force.
