LEGITIMATE PICKET LINE Clause Samples
A Legitimate Picket Line clause defines the rights and obligations of employees and employers in relation to picket lines that are recognized as lawful under labor laws. Typically, this clause clarifies whether employees may refuse to cross a picket line established by another union or their own, and outlines any conditions or limitations on such refusals, such as notification requirements or exceptions for essential services. Its core practical function is to provide clear guidance on how picket lines are treated in the workplace, thereby reducing disputes and ensuring both parties understand their rights and responsibilities during labor actions.
