Common use of Liability Insurance Coverage Clause in Contracts

Liability Insurance Coverage. CONTRACTOR shall obtain and maintain during the life of this Agreement the following insurance coverage: (i) Commercial General Liability, including coverage for premises-operations, products/completed operations hazard, blanket contractual, broad form property damage, and independent contractors. In addition, CONTRACTOR shall obtain and maintain during the life of this Agreement each of the following insurance coverage which are not stricken out and initialed by the Project Manager: Explosion and collapse hazard, underground hazard, personal injury, and automobile liability, including owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles. All insurance coverage shall have limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 combined single limits, per occurrence and aggregate. (ii) Below are approved endorsements which satisfy the basic insurance requirements contained in contracts entered into by City of Costa Mesa. These have been approved by the City Attorney’s Office. The terms of any specific contract with the City are controlling. Prior to the commencement of any work, the City requires that the Engineer receive Certificates of Insurance in DUPLICATE for liability coverage of at least $1,000,000.00 combined single limits, per occurrence and in the aggregate. Endorsements to the policies providing the above insurance shall be obtained by CONTRACTOR, adding the following three provisions:
