Common use of Liaison Office Clause in Contracts

Liaison Office. 1. Each Party shall designate and maintain the Liaison Office in the Party. The designation of the Liaison Office by each Party shall be notified to the other Party. 2. The functions of the Liaison Office in each Party shallbe: (a) receiving complaints, inquiries, and/or requests forconsultations from the persons of the other Party with regard to the laws, regulations, and other measuresof the former Party which may adversely affect thebusiness activities of such persons of the otherParty; (b) transmitting the complaints, inquiries, and/orrequests for consultations referred to insubparagraph (a) to relevant authorities of the former Party; (c) transmitting responses from the relevant authoritiesof the former Party to the persons that filed thecomplaints, made inquiries, and/or made request forconsultations; (d) providing the persons referred to in subparagraph (a)with necessary information and advice incollaboration with relevant authorities of the former Party; and (e) reporting its findings, with regard to the exerciseof its functions referred to in subparagraphs (a)through (d), to the Joint Committee, relevantSub-Committees, and/or the existing consulting forareferred to in Article 108. 3. The Liaison Office in each Party shall endeavor to respondwithin a reasonable period of time to the persons that filedcomplaints, made inquiries, and/or made requests forconsultations. 4. Communications between the Liaison Office in a Party andthe persons of the other Party referred to in paragraph 2 maybe conducted through an authority or an organization designated by the Government of the latter Party. 5. Paragraphs 2 through 4 shall not be construed as to prevent or restrict any contacts made by the persons of a Party directly to relevant authorities of the other Party. Chapter 13 shall not apply to this Chapter.

The functions of the Liaison Office in each Party shallbeshall be: (a) receiving complaints, inquiries, inquiries and/or requests forconsultations for consultations from the persons of the other Party with regard to the laws, regulations, regulations and other measuresof the former measures of that Party which may adversely affect thebusiness the business activities of such persons of the otherPartythat other Party; (b) transmitting the complaints, inquiries, and/orrequests inquiries and/or requests for consultations referred to insubparagraph in subparagraph (a) to relevant authorities of the former that Party; (c) transmitting responses from the relevant authoritiesof the former authorities of that Party to the persons that filed thecomplaintssubmitted the complaints, made inquiries, inquiries and/or made request forconsultationsrequests for consultations; (d) providing the persons referred to in subparagraph (a)with necessary information and advice incollaboration to the persons that submitted the complaints, made inquiries and/or made requests for consultations, in collaboration with relevant authorities of that Party; (e) when necessary, submit to the former PartySub-Committee the relevant information regarding complaints, inquiries and/or requests for consultations from the persons of that Party with regard to the laws, regulations and other measures of the other Party which may adversely affect the business activities of such persons; and (ef) reporting its findings, with regard to the exerciseof exercise of its functions referred to in subparagraphs (a)through a) through (de), to the Joint Committee, relevantSub-Committees, relevant Sub- Committees and/or the existing other consulting forareferred fora referred to in Article 108198. 3. The Liaison Office in each Party shall endeavor to respondwithin respond within a reasonable period of time to the persons that filedcomplaintssubmitted complaints, made inquiries, inquiries and/or made requests forconsultationsfor consultations. 4. Communications between the Liaison Office in a Party andthe and the persons of the other Party referred to in paragraph 2 maybe may be conducted through an authority or an organization designated as a contact point by the Government of that other Party. 5. For the latter Partypurposes of subparagraph 2(e), the contact point of a Party may also provide relevant information to its own Liaison Office. 56. Paragraphs 2 through 4 5 shall not be construed as to prevent or restrict any contacts made by the persons of a Party directly to relevant authorities of the other Party. Chapter 13 shall not apply Party or to this Chapterits own Liaison Office.
