Common use of LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION Clause in Contracts

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION. 25.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the necessity for employees to maintain appropriate licensure and/or certification to perform the duties of their assigned position. 25.2 Agencies will continue their agency policy and/or practices related to licensure and certification. 25.3 Employees will notify their Appointing Authority or designee if their work related license and/or certification has expired, or has been restricted, revoked or suspended within twenty-four (24) hours of expiration, restriction, revocation or suspension, or prior to their next scheduled shift. 25.4 If the possession of a valid driver license and operating a motor vehicle is an essential function for the employee’s position, the employee will, prior to their next scheduled shift, notify their supervisor of any driving citations involving controlled substances or alcohol.
