LONG-TERM AND SHORT-TERM DISABILITY BENEFITS. Full time employees are eligible to participate in the City’s Disability plans, subject to all terms and conditions of the agreement between the City and the insurance carrier. This is solely a monetary benefit and not a leave of absence entitlement. Employees who will be out of work must also request a formal leave of absence. Payment for disability leave for all bargaining unit employees shall be in accordance with applicable provisions of Chapter 440, Florida Statutes and under applicable City policies and procedures.
