Common use of Manuscript Number Clause in Contracts

Manuscript Number. The Authors hereby grant and assign Research in Plant Disease for the full term of copyright in the Article and any extensions thereto, thus providing exclusive license to a) publish, reproduce and/or distribute the Article in all forms and media throughout the world, b) translate into other languages, create other derivative works of the Article and exercise all of the rights set forth in above translations and derivative works, and c) authorize any third party to do any or all of the above. The Authors warrant that the Article is an original creation, has not been previously published in whole or in part and that it contain no matter which is in any way unlawful or infringes on any proprietary rights of any person or entity. The authors agree to indemnify and hold the Research in Plant Disease harmless against any claim instituted as a result of a breach of any of these warranties. Research in Plant Disease grants proprietary rights to the Authors and authorize reproduction of the Article free of charge, provided that lawful notice of claim of right is given. The Authors retain its non-exclusive rights to a) reproduce the Article, in whole or in part, in other publications created by them, b) use the Article for educational or research purposes in institution, and c) make limited distribution of the Article prior to publication given that nature and extent of limited distribution are informed post an electronic version of the Article after a prolonged period, given that a link to Research in Plant Disease is provided. If the Article was prepared as a work made for hire, the copyright belongs to the Employer. By signing this agreement, Research in Plant Disease assumes that the Authors have obtained unrestricted permission from the Employer to the transfer of copyright and to all other terms and conditions in this agreement. If such authorization consent has not been given, authorized representative of Employer should sign this agreement. In the case of joint authorship, the corresponding Author, who has been authorized by all co-authors either orally or in writing, should sign this agreement on their behalf.
