Common use of Material Handling Clause in Contracts

Material Handling. The salt shall not contain more than 1.50% moisture by weight when delivered to the designated points within the contract. All loads shall be covered by waterproof tarps in good condition that are securely tied down during transit. Any salt that becomes contaminated as it is being delivered by the Contractor shall be screened with all costs associated with the screening being deducted from progress claims to the Contractor.
