Maximum daily hours. (a) Unless varied in accordance with this Agreement, the ordinary hours of work shall not exceed 8 hours on any day.

(a) Subject to Article 14.02 (a) above, the University will endeavor not to require a full- time employee to perform teaching or other duties amounting to more than eight (8) hours per day.
(b) Subject to the other provisions of TA Article 14, the University will not require any employee registered in an academic degree program to perform teaching or other duties amounting to more than eight (8) hours per day (on average over the term of appointment) without their agreement.
(c) Duties which the employee has been authorized to schedule at their choosing will not be considered scheduled duties for the purposes of Article 14.06 (a) and (b) above.
Maximum daily hours. Apart from a declared response or a compliance operation, no employee is expected to work more than 11 hours in a day/single period of duty unless by agreement of the employee.

4.1.4.1 Work in Excess of 12 Continuous Hours 16

Duties which the employee has been authorized to schedule at their choosing will not be considered scheduled duties for the purposes of Article (a) and Conflict Employee's Academic Schedule The University make every reasonable effort not to schedule or reschedule work in such a way that it conflicts with an employee's University scheduled academic duties (e.g. classes, conferences, an oral defence or an examination) where an employee is registered in an academic degree program. Where a conflict exists between an employee's University scheduled academic duties and scheduled work, the employee and their supervisor will attempt to resolve the conflict in accordance with Article if that is not possible, the Department Chair and the Union must be notified ,expeditiously so that every effort can be made to assist in finding a solution, and-the University will resolve the conflict in a manner least disruptive to the employee and the University.
Maximum daily hours. 39.1 No employee shall be required to work more than 14 hours in any one period of 24 hours, except in exceptional circumstances associated with the late sittings of either House.
39.2 The employer shall endeavour to minimise the risk to employee health and safety of working more than 14 consecutive hours without sufficient rest breaks.
39.3 Wherever possible, the employee shall be granted a 10-hour break between the cessation of duty on one day and the recommencement of duty on the same or following day.
39.4 Where a 10-hour break is not provided, the employee shall be entitled to time off in lieu on an hour for hour basis equal to the difference between 10 hours and the actual break provided.
39.5 Time off in lieu accrued under this clause shall be taken at a time mutually agreed between the employee and the relevant Department Head, provided that the Department Head may require such time to be taken within 3 months of accrual.
Maximum daily hours. 8.4.1 The maximum numb er of daily ordinary hours to be worked shall not exceed 8 on any day. Provided that the maximum number of daily ordinary hours may be varied to a maximum of 10 per day.
8.4.2 Provided further that in emergency circumstances, an employee may be required to work to a maximum of 16 hours.
Maximum daily hours. A team member may be rostered to work a maximum of 9 hours (exclusive of meal breaks) on any shift. Provided that on two shifts in any week, a team member may be rostered to work up to a maximum of 10.5 hours (exclusive of meal breaks).
