Common use of Meal Period Compensation Clause in Contracts

Meal Period Compensation. Employees working more than two (2) management-directed extra hours will be permitted to take a thirty (30) minute meal period if these hours are at the end of a regular work period. If taken, the employee will be paid for the meal period at the applicable overtime rate. Employees will be entitled to a thirty (30) minute meal period at intervals of five (5) hours beyond the end of the previous meal period.
