Member Contribution to PERS Retirement Plan – New Members. Employees hired after December 31, 2012, shall be members in the PERS on terms consistent with the Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act (PEPRA). Employees who are “new members” shall contribute fifty percent (50%) of the total normal cost as required by PEPRA.
