In an effort to comply with this regulation, the Credit Union must verify the identity of each new applicant and / or signatory being added to a new account or an existing account. Furthermore, the Credit Union must maintain a record of the information used to verify the person’s identity including name, physical address, date of birth, social security number and / or other identifying number associated with the applicant.
