Common use of Membership in Professional Organizations Clause in Contracts

Membership in Professional Organizations. In each fiscal year, the Appointing Authority will directly pay for or reimburse each employee in the bargaining unit for the membership dues paid to one (1) professional organization related to the employee's job, up to a maximum of seventy-five dollars ($75) each fiscal year, provided the Appointing Authority determines that such funds are available. However, the Appointing Authority will not reimburse membership dues to an employee for payment to an organization, one of whose purposes is to negotiate terms and conditions of employment of employees with the Employer.
