Common use of MERIT POOLS Clause in Contracts

MERIT POOLS. Merit award pools will be established for AY 2019/2020 and AY 2020/2021. These pools will be distributed as follows: Spring 2020 – Up to 25 awards of $2,000 each Spring 2021 – Up to 25 awards of $2,000 each Merit awards will be paid on a one-time only basis, and will not be added to base salary. They will be included in the first paycheck following the notification of merit. A request for recommendations for merit will be sent to the colleges in the Spring of the academic year. Merit will be awarded in June of each year. A report of merit increases, including names and academic unit, will be provided to the Associated Faculty of Montana State University Executive Committee after the awards have been determined.
