The Minimum Maternity Leave clause establishes the least amount of time an employee is entitled to take off from work for maternity purposes. Typically, this clause specifies the duration of leave, eligibility requirements, and whether the leave is paid or unpaid, ensuring that employees are aware of their rights and employers are clear on their obligations. Its core function is to guarantee a baseline level of job-protected leave for new mothers, promoting workplace fairness and compliance with applicable labor laws.
