Common use of Mutual Exchanges Clause in Contracts

Mutual Exchanges. Once the work staffing schedule is posted, requests by Employees for exchanges in the schedule must be submitted in writing, co-signed by the Employee agreeing to the exchange. Such requests shall be considered, subject to the Manager’s or designate approval, to change scheduled shifts with each other, so long as all shifts are covered. Such requests shall not be unreasonably denied. Such mutual changes to the posted schedules shall not result in any overtime costs to the Employer. It is also acceptable to provide either electronic or phone requests and approval if the request is submitted within a seventy-two (72) hour window.
