Common use of National Security or Defense Purpose Clause in Contracts

National Security or Defense Purpose. An emergency circumstance where the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, or a combatant commander under 10 U.S.C section 164 directs a change to the mission of the Installation in support of emergency circumstances. An emergency circumstance does not include routine changes to the mission of the Installation.
