Common use of Necessary Safeguards Clause in Contracts

Necessary Safeguards. As required by conditions and progress of work, CONTRACTOR shall erect and properly maintain at all times all necessary safeguards, signs, barriers, lights, and watchmen for protection of the site, workers, students, staff, and the public, and shall post danger signs warning against hazards created in the course of construction. CONTRACTOR shall designate a responsible member of its organization whose duty shall be the prevention of accidents. The name and position of the person designated shall be reported to DISTRICT by CONTRACTOR.
