Common use of NO TRANSFER OF COMMITTEE PERSON Clause in Contracts

NO TRANSFER OF COMMITTEE PERSON. A duly elected Grievance/Negotiating Committee person shall not be transferred from his assigned area of representation as long as there is work available therein which he has the ability to and is willing to perform, except by agreement between the Company and the Union; provided however, that no promotion shall result solely from his retention as a Grievance/Negotiating Committee person in such area. Committee persons are not considered transferred when they clock in and out in their assigned area of representation or participate in a TDY assignment.
