Non-Assignability of Interests. The interests herein and the right to receive benefits hereunder may not be anticipated, alienated, sold, transferred, assigned, pledged, encumbered, or subjected to any charge or legal process, and if any attempt is made to do so, or a Participant becomes bankrupt, the interests under the Plan of the person affected may be terminated by the Compensation Committee, which, in its sole discretion, may cause the same to be held or applied for the benefit of one or more of the dependents of such person or make any other disposition of such interests as it deems appropriate.

  • Assignability of Contract It is understood and agreed that this Contract contemplates personal performance by the Contractor and is based upon a determination of its unique personal competence and experience and upon its specialized personal knowledge. Assignments of any or all rights, duties or obligations of the Contractor under this Contract will be permitted only with the express written consent of the County.
