Non-Duplication Rules a. An employee who was not enrolled in the District’s Group Health Plans as of July 1, 1988, shall not be entitled to enroll in the District’s Group if the employee is otherwise covered by any Group Health Insurance Plan, whether as the insured or a dependent of the insured. The term “covered” shall mean that the employee is considered by the insuring agent to be eligible for health insurance benefits as provided in its plan. The employee shall have the option to select enrollment in the District’s Group during the period of open enrollment, providing the employee has rejected coverage under the other Group Health Insurance Plan.
