Vacation Schedule. 1. Vacation periods shall be fixed by the Employer to suit the requirements of his business, but as far as possible and practicable, vacations will be given during the summer months, and for employees with school-age children, during the school vacations. Vacation periods shall be unbroken unless by mutual consent between Employer and employee, or where it is impractical. Grievances relating to this Section shall be subject to the Adjustment and Arbitration Procedure in this Agreement. 2. Time off, based upon service in the Industry Vacation Plan, may be granted to an employee by mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee. The Employer shall not be required to give time off based upon service under the Industry Vacation Plan. However, if such additional industry vacation time off is granted to an employee, such time off shall be counted as time worked for the purpose of computing the employee's earned vacation benefits on his next anniversary date of employment.

Vacation Schedule. Vacation schedules shall be posted by May 1st of each year and shall not be changed unless by agreement between the Employer and the affected employee.
Vacation Schedule. The time at which employees shall be granted vacation shall be at the discretion of the appointing authority. Length of service and seniority of employees shall be given consideration in scheduling vacations and in giving preference as to vacation time.
Vacation Schedule. Where in respect of any period of vacation leave, an employee is: a) Granted bereavement leave or, b) Granted sick leave or, c) Granted other approved leave of absence or, d) When a statutory holiday falls on a day during an employee's vacation period. e) The period of vacation so displaced by any of the aforementioned shall either be added to the vacation period of the employee and approved by the Employer or reinstated for use at a later date, at a time to be mutually agreed upon by both parties.
Vacation Schedule. Annual vacation shall be regulated on a mutually agreed rotation plan. Wherever possible the initial placing of employees in the rotation plan will be according to seniority; thereafter the rotation will take place in accordance with agreed procedure established between the Union and the Employer. Where an annual vacation is split upon request by an employee, seniority shall be exercised in the first instance only.

(d) An Employee who is unable to attend the departmental meeting as outlined above shall be allowed to submit their choices in writing. Such requests shall be forwarded or given to the department head prior to or during the meeting. (F/T) (e) For the purpose of vacation scheduling a week shall consist of five (5) days vacation and two (2) days off.

Vacation Schedule. (a) The Company shall post a vacation schedule sheet, for the period of May 1st to April 30th, on each department’s bulletin board no later than the last day of February each year and each employee shall make application using the appropriate form to their supervisor as to their vacation request(s) no later than March 31st. On or after April 1st, but no later than April 30th, the Company shall post the vacation schedule and confirm vacation periods on an individual basis by seniority and skill required. Failure of an employee to choose a vacation period prior to March 31st shall result in the employee not being given the choice of vacation openings existing after April 30th. Such openings shall be granted on a first come first served basis subject to the operational requirements of the Company. If an employee applies for vacation after March 31st the Company will respond, in writing, within thirty (30) calendar days. After the employee’s vacation is confirmed by the Company, it shall not be changed without mutual agreement subject to the operational requirements of the Company. The Company will reimburse employees for costs incurred as a result of vacation cancellation provided the Company initiated the cancellation. (b) Employees who work a twelve (12) hour day, fourteen (14) days in - fourteen (14) days out work schedule must take their vacation entitlement in a single allotment of consecutive workdays. Vacation shall commence on the first day of the cycle. (a) Providing transportation is available, the Company shall allow an employee to take vacation in seven (7) day increments. If an employee has more than two weeks of vacation or where an employee with only two weeks of vacation is permitted to take his vacation in one-week blocks, then the vacation shall either commence on the first day of his work cycle or end on the last day of his work cycle. (b) Employees who work a twelve (12) hour day, four (4) days in - three (3) days out work schedule must take their vacation entitlement in a four (4) day allotment of consecutive workdays. Vacation entitlement shall commence on the first day of the cycle. (c) If an employee requests and the department head agrees, a vacation break of less than seven (7) days may be taken.
