Common use of Non-Supplanting Requirement Clause in Contracts

Non-Supplanting Requirement. The Subrecipient agrees that federal grant funds received under this award will not replace (supplant) funds that have been budgeted for the same purpose through non- federal sources. Applicants or Recipients may be required to demonstrate if a reduction in non- federal resources occurred for reasons other than the receipt or expected receipt of federal funds. The Subrecipient will be expected to demonstrate how these funds will be used to supplement, but not supplant, state or local funds for the same purposes.
