Notice of Approval and Scheduling. Vacation day/days may be taken only after the Police Officer has given prior notice to and received the written approval of his/her supervisor. Vacation day/days will be granted in accordance with the particular manpower requirements of the department and the preferences of the Police Officers. Police Officers must make their request for five or more vacation days by the deadline posted in the department or they will forfeit their seniority preference.
