Notification Procedure. Each such notice shall be deemed to have been delivered: (i) when presented personally to the GOB, (ii) when transmitted by facsimile, or (iii) five (5) Days after being deposited in a regularly maintained receptacle for the postal service in Bangladesh, postage prepaid, registered or certified, return receipt requested, addressed to the GOB, at the address indicated in Section 17 of the Implementation Agreement (or such other address as the GOB may have specified by written notice delivered in accordance therewith). Following this notification, the administration, the affected member(s), the Association President and/or Vice President, will meet to discuss the reasons for the anticipated reduction and, where applicable, will discuss any enrollment concerns, and strategize on ways to market the program and increase enrollment and any other relevant issues. If the student enrollment in the affected subject area or program offering does not significantly improve, the reduction procedures under Section 12.3 will be implemented.
Notification Procedure. 5.11.1 The bargaining unit member shall notify the immediate supervisor as soon as possible in advance of all leaves and shall receive approval in advance of taking a leave, except for situations set forth in this Article below.
5.11.2 In case of an emergency leave, a bargaining unit member who finds it necessary to be absent from duty shall notify the immediate supervisor or designee during regular school hours, or the District answering service after regular hours, but in no event later than 7:00 a.m. or one (1) hour prior to the start of school, whichever is earlier, on the day of the absence.
5.11.3 Bargaining unit members who plan to return on subsequent day(s), in the case of an emergency leave, shall notify the school site not later than one (1) hour prior to the end of the instructional day regarding their return to duty the following day. If bargaining unit members fail to notify the school of their intent to return to work the next day and the District employs a substitute for that day, bargaining unit members shall be charged the cost of the substitute.
5.11.4 The bargaining unit member shall report the nature of all absences to the immediate supervisor on the appropriate District leave form. The District may require evidence of justification for taking any leave. Salaries shall be paid only for approved paid leaves which are used for stated purposes.
5.11.5 A bargaining unit member requesting a leave of a semester or more shall request the leave of the immediate supervisor in writing three (3) months before the proposed beginning date of the leave. Notification dates may be waived by the Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee for extenuating circumstances. The immediate supervisor shall make recommendations regarding leaves to the Superintendent or designee, who shall make recommendations to the Governing Board. The Governing Board shall make the final decisions regarding leaves.
